- Attended one month of nursing training
Studley Court Hospital, Stourbridge : 10 Nov 1914 – 30 Jul 1915
- Started from preparing the hospital for opening and then continued as VAD nurse
1915 – 1916
No 2 General Hospital, Le Havre : 5 Nov 1915 – 1 Dec 1916
- Took her first post on the Western Front in France
1917
First Western General Hospital, Birkenhead : 15 Mar 1917 – 12 Sep 1917
- Resumed her nursing duty
1917 -1918
Queen Alexandra Hospital, FAU, Dunkirk : 17 Sep 1917 – 27 Dec 1918

- Returned to France with Friends’ Ambulance Unit (FAU)
1918 – 1919
L’Hôpital Militaire Belge de Bonsecours, Rouen : 30 Dec 1918 – 20 Mar 1919
- The last posting was after the Armistice which formally ended the First World War
End of service : 20 Mar 1919
- On 21 Mar 1919 left France arriving home the same day
- 3 days later got engaged and married on 29 Jul 1919
