- The parents of Donald Morgan had already died and the closest relatives of the groom were Donald’s sister Winnifred Hennessy and her husband Frederick.
- On Pamela Downing’s side present were her father William Noel Downing, her mother Molly, her sister Jill, who was the sole Maid of Honour, and her other sister Hazel Haynes, accompanied by her husband Stephen.
- Nan was Elizabeth Dekeuwer who had been a strong presence in the Downing household from 1922
- Tony Darby, Donald’s best man was a school friend from Cranbrook College, Ilford
- Noel Downing’s sisters Daisy Grazebrook and Mary Simpson were also present, together with Daisy’s daughter Nancy Webb.
- Edmund Glyn Williams was the only child of Noel’s other sister May Downing and was also a first cousin to the bride.
- Betty Bassett, Joy Edwardes, Jane Morris and the Proctor sisters were all colleagues of Pamela from Hut 6 Bletchley Park.
